Randy Bloemendaal - Men's Tennis Coach, Indiana University
A 12-year head coaching veteran, Randy Bloemendaal is in his third season as IU's men's tennis coach. He's enjoyed great success in his first two seasons, compiling a combined 31-23 record while leading Indiana to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2001 during his debut campaign. He followed that up a year ago by guiding IU to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals, and his team is already off to a great start during the 2009-10 campaign. In the fall, freshman Josh MacTaggart won the Big Ten Singles Tournament, making him the first Hoosier to capture a Big Ten individual crown since 1977. Before arriving at IU in the fall of 2006 as an assistant coach, Bloemendaal served as the head men's and women's tennis coach at Charleston Southern University. In 2005, Bloemendaal led the sixth-seeded men's team to the Big South Championship match for the first time since 2002. Over his two seasons, the Buccaneer men went 22-23, including a 16-11 mark during the 2005 campaign. Prior to his hiring at Charleston Southern, Bloemendaal served as the head men's and women's coach at his alma mater, Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, N. C. Bloemendaal was the head coach of both squads from 1995-2003. During his eight years with the Bobcats, the men's team amassed a 159-36 (.815) mark, while the women were 110-63 (.634).

Florida Southern finished the year ranked 15th in Division II, with sophomore Michael Knoedler finishing the season ranked third in the nation in singles. In 2006, the Moccasins produced a 14-12 record, reached the finals of the NCAA Southeast Regional, and finished ranked 13th in the final ITA Division II ranking. In his first season at FSC in 2005, he led the Moccasins to a 14-11 record, an NCAA regional runner-up finish and a final ITA Division II ranking of 14.
